Yesterday I finished quilting and binding my Scrappy Dresden quilt. I'm thrilled with the results.
So glad I did the extra digging in my stash for the aqua. I love the red and aqua plates on my scrappy black/gray background.
I'm even pleased with how the quilting turned out. It really isn't my strong point. Though I'm starting to feel more confident with it.
I'm glad the weather cooperated for pictures. Another snow storm is forcasted. We go almost all winter without snow. Temperatures have abnormally warm all winter. Then just as spring is about to arrive we get dumped on. We had 6" last weekend and we are suppose to get another 8" this weekend.
I like how it turned out love these colors together!
ReplyDeleteI like the color combo. All those blacks and greys make the red and aqua pop.
ReplyDeleteQuilt is wonderful. The dresdens seem 3-D. Very inspirational.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I love more than a Dresden Plate quilt is a scrappy one. You color choices look great! sjvonfumetti at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious. Did you cut out the background under the dresden's?
You can. It reduces bulk. But I didn't. I'm naughty and more of a quick and dirty quilter.
