Fat Quarter Monday

Maybe Marlene was right and Grandma's almond fudge ice cream was not on the diet. I was not successful in losing any fat quarters this week. But my will power is pretty weak when it comes to saying no to almond fudge ice cream. And when you combine that with my sweet grandma offering said treat there is just no hope. Please forgive my weakness. I will do better next week. I did change the some of the fat quarters. I got some more pretties so I thought I would mix it up. If one you were eyeing one that is gone let me know and I will put it back. Want to make sure everyone is happy. Leave a little encouragement for a chance to win. Thanks for your help.
Em

  3. Well, people are more important than pounds... and grandmothers are way special... and to so many people food is an offering of love... and you are eating healthier overall... and these little times will come along now and again... and you didn't actually gain weight... and we all want you to succeed so hang in there and keep at it one day at a time!

    Big hugs!

  5. You can do it - just keep going. A small plateau does not the end of the race make, and what's life without an occasional break for ice cream? You had your treat and didn't put weight on, so that's a success.

  6. Resistance is futile with that sort of temptation!! You are doing great - just don't get down on yourself and keep going! :)

  9. I doubt that I would be able to pass that up either. Then add to it the fact it was forced upon you be Grandma and what else is there to say???? Good luck this week.

  10. Em, the only thing you need to apologise for is being totally normal! Don't be so hard on yourself, take each day as it comes and then take note that okay although you had some ice-cream, at least you enjoyed it, I know I would.

  11. Don't look backwards, just keep moving ahead, you're doing great.

  12. There is no way I can pass up ice cream either. If you deny yourself any of the things you love like that, you will give up and quit trying. Better to move ahead a little at a time and in away you can stick with it. I think you are doing great!

  13. I think you're doing great. You didn't put it on in a day so it won't come off that quickly either. A bowl of ice cream is not the end of a diet.

  14. Nothing to forgive Em! You are doing this for yourself, not us! 8-)
The fat quarters are just a bonus!
This is all part of the process of loosing... You will get there! Truly you will! 8-)

  15. That's okay! Sometimes you will have an off week. You just have to look at the big picture. In the end, if you are losing overall, that is what you want. Just jump right back into that saddle again and get on track for this week.

  16. I think you are doing great. I am also trying to lose weight and it is slow going, I am just being patient with myself, you should to.

  17. You are doing just fine. Once in awhile you will be faced with major temptations and sometimes you can resist and other times you just have to have it. As long as you enjoyed that ice cream that is what counts, then put it behind you, back to the program and go forward. None of us live inside of bubbles so you do the best you can and you move forward. Here's to a great week!

  18. Hang in there, Em! We are all entitled to small slips... "Grandma" slips are totally acceptable. We love you anyway, even on 'staying the same' weeks.

  19. Ice cream isn't a necessary part of a diet? Could've fooled me. Hang in there - slips are perfectly fine!
