A few weekends ago when Craftsy had free streaming of all their classes I took advantage of it. One of the classes I watched was Sarah Fielke's Big Techniques from Small Scraps. I'm a big fan of Sarah Fielke's work. I have several of her books. Watching her video was a treat and inspired me to play with my wedge rulers.
Since I'm still trying to thin out my strip bin I started by sewing strip sets together. Next I used Kay England's 22.5* ruler and cut a bunch of wedges. Now I'm playing with arrangement. I think I need a few more wedges. But oh I'm having fun.
Being Monday it's now your turn to share the fun you've been having in your sewing room. Link up and show us your progress.
I like that - I don't have a wedge ruler might have to get one. I haven't looked at any of Sarah's classes but look
ReplyDeleteThose look really great...and fun to do. By wedge ruler do you mean a dresden? I watched mostly the how to hand quilt classes. Hope Craftsy does it again soon.
ReplyDeleteI should have taken advantage of the Craftsy classes. I discovered it too late.
ReplyDeleteMany quilters talk about their bins of strips. Not something that I have. I suppose it is because I do so much applique.
I like these wedges. Hum, seems to me I have a big wedge ruler of some degree and some triangle rulers. What can I say, I tend to buy different rulers.
ReplyDeleteLove your scrappy wedges. How FUN!
ReplyDeleteI took that class too
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Continue to have fun with these :)
