Spare Change

I've had a recent love affair with strips and strings. This quilt may have been the beginning of that love affair. That and the fact that my strips and strings bins have been overflowing. This simple coin quilt is just jelly roll strips sewn together and then cut into coin strips.
I then framed the strips and added background. It makes a quick and easy gift or charity quilt.  This quilt features the fabric line Mama's Cottage by April Rosenthal for Moda. I quilted with simple organic lines, vertical for the background and horizontal through the coin stacks.

  9. Spare Change is a perfect name for your quilt. The last time I made string strips similar to yours, the strips turned out a bit crooked.
