Almost

I was really hoping I'd have the quilt done for my sons' friend. But despite my best intentions I'm not quite finished. I still have part of one row and the border to quilt. I'm not a very fast quilter, and by the end of the second day of quilting I really needed a break. I took a little respite at my monthly quilt guild meeting. Chatting with friends and seeing what everyone has been up to is rejuvenating. When I got home I was to get back to the last bit of quilting. But I had to help my daughter. So hopefully today I'll finish it up. Then get the binding on. I feel pretty confident I can have it to him by the end of the weekend. Wish me luck.
However, this scrap friendly quilt arrived in the mail recently back from it's stay with Quiltmaker magazine. You can find the pattern in the March/April edition. I came up with it while playing with a scrappy border I had seen. I used it as sashing and added the stars. Stars always make a nice addition to any quilt. Don't you think?
Linking up with Sarah, Cynthia, and Amanda Jean to celebrate. Even if it's not the quilt I had intended on celebrating with.
