Filling Project Boxes

Inspired by all the cleaning going on over at Sarah's and Sherri's I decided to tackle the creative clutter in my own sewing area.  My cutting, ironing and sewing surfaces are clear.  In the process I filled several scrap bins to overflowing and found three empty project boxes.  I know I couldn't believe it either.  Well that's a definite license to start another project or two.

First I took those overflowing scrap bins and started cutting strips for a log cabin variation. I still need to go through my red and pink bins but I've got me a good start.
Next I cut various leftovers from layer cakes and cut me up another project.  I had to order more background.  Hoping to get that cut soon so I can start this one too.
I still have a couple more projects boxes to fill, and I never run out of scraps. Oh the wheels are turning.  The possibilities are endless.

  2. Good job. I'm going out tomorrow to buy a few more project boxes (to match for stackability). I'll just create the new-project license that way, lol.

  4. After reading your post and Sherri's a thought came to me. Having my scraps organized and prepared for use is also a boon when a friend asks for "a project" to do. I am going to go through my hundreds of patterns and sort out 10 easy, easy patterns. Then they can choose a pattern as well.

  5. Ooh three empty project boxes lets you start three projects! There are so many possibilities! I've got a million quilts I want to make, and then the variations of those too. I've been cleaning my sewing area too. Progress is slow but sure.
