Enough and to Spare

I had no need to worry about there being enough scraps for my Not Always Black and White quilt.
I was able to make all 30- 12" blocks and still had these to spare.
Makes me wonder how many quilts I have in all my scraps.

  2. Yes, it is a good question. During the past three years I have created "project packs" from leftovers of quilts that I liked. So there are several of those before I start looking at strings, squares, scraps etc. And then, of course there is my stash. And I know by many American quilters whose blogs I follow that my stash is a mere "drop in the ocean"!

  4. Great job! This turned out really, really well.:) The funny thing about using scraps is that they never seem to totally used up!

  6. This year I started on a quilt that will use about 5500 1-1/2" squares. I am about 2100 in and...well...I must have about 20,000 1-1/2" squares cut because you can hardly tell I have used any. Amazing! Scraps multiply.
