Twinkle

Twinkle twinkle little star.  Happy and versatile star blocks are a favorite among quilters. When I saw the fabric line 'For You' by Zen Chic for Moda I knew I needed to make a star quilt.  The cheery bright colors sparkled.  How could I not?
I finally settled on a maverick star set on point using a square in a square method.
Added a strata sashing and bright scrappy corner posts Twinkle was born.
Mary from Needled Mom tested it for me.  I love the cool blues and greens she used.  Always fun to see the same quilt in different color ways.  Thanks Mary!  You did a beautiful job!
Speaking of twinkle and sparkle this is my lovely daughter ready for her dance.  Can't believe how my baby has grown up.  How can she be going to high school next year?

  1. Star quilts were something I enjoyed making right from the beginning of my quilt making. They can be made in so many ways and the fabric used can change the flavor too.

  10. Hi. I am testing this pattern for my local quilt shop and I have a few questions as to how the pattern is written or my understanding of it. That being said, how many fabrics are considered a "FQ bundle or equivalent"? Also when it has the cutting instructions after the "80- 2 1/2" squares for background around star" the line after looks like it has been partially whited out before instructing to cut 30- 3 1/2" squares for corner stones. So I have no idea what I'm doing with the sashing or what the 15- 2 1/4" x WOF is being cut from. (Each of the 2 fabrics? Neither of them) Help please. :)
I don't normally have any problems reading a pattern. But I am at but of a loss with this one, and it is so cute, so I really want to be working on it.
    Thanks. A
