Seven Sisters

I did it!  I did it! I did it!  My scrappy strippy stars are quilted, bond and ready to share.  Thanks for sharing in my excitement.  It's so nice to have good friends to share happy news with.  It makes that much more fun!
If you've missed the progress of this quilt you can read about it here, here, and here.  I quilted stars in the border.
Echoing circles and lines in the center.  Figuring out how to quilt my quilts is not my strong suit.  My skills are not such that I feel confident.  So I stick with simple.  But I think simple worked well this time.
How do you decide how to quilt your quilts?  I'd love to hear your process.  I'm linking with Sarah and Cynthia to celebrate with others.  After all that's half the fun.  (Sharing the joy with others.)

  1. It looks fantastic, Em. I always find that the quilting is the most difficult part for me too - thus so many unfinished tops.

  4. Your quilt is absolutely awesome!!! I've been wanting to make something similar and just haven't gotten to it. So many designs, so little time.

  5. What a happy quilt, the stars just look so beautiful. Quilting is done very nicely with the circles and the little stars in the border. I am thinking about quilting while sewing a project all the time. It is the biggest challenge for me.
    Greetings,

  8. Visiting fromOh Scrap! Nice scrap quilt and quilting. Designing the quilting. I mostly sit and gaze and imagine lines until something strikes me. I start as soon as even a partial idea hits and when that part is finished, gaze and think some more. Some day I may graduate to clear plastic and marker to have a more visual and less imaginary audition.
