U of U pillow

My oldest son, Alex transferred to the University of Utah to study engineering this fall.  I had some blocks I needed to test for an upcoming project.  I noticed one, that is meant to be a horseshoe, when I turned it upside down made a perfect University of Utah U.  So rather than have these blocks end up in my orphan bin.  I made them in the school colors and created a giant pillow.  It measures 24" square.
All the fabric is from my stash and I quilted the pillow top using some leftover batting from other projects.  I did purchase a pillow form from JoAnn's using a coupon.   So for very little out put I have a fun gift for my future engineer.
To celebrate this thrifty finish I'm linking up with Sarah.
