I went with the plan I was forming Monday minus the piano keys. I think they would have made a lovely additon but would have made the quilt to big for where I want to display it, above my stairs like I did this quilt. I call it Friendly Twist.
As I combined the thank you blocks from my quilt guild with the log cabin twists from my Twist on Tradition blocks. I threw in the scrap happy flying geese because I'm in love with them right now. Must say I'm pretting pleased with the results and excited at my chances to win a few fat quarters at my next guild meeting for moving this UFO a little closer to completion.
I almost forget Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict is auctioning off 30 of these fabulous feedsack blocks. They are made from real feed sacks from the 30's and 40's appliqued on sugar sacks. Aren't they fabuous? A real treasure for sure. Hop over to Sarah's blog to see all thirty and to bid.
Sarah also has her Whoop Whoop going on. Make sure you check out everyones fine work while you are over there. Always fun to see a little eye candy and get a little inspiration.
