Some Fun and A Finish

My hubby and I met in college. As the spring semester ended and it was time to head home to earn money for the fall we were at a loss. My hubby is from Oregon and I'm from Utah. The 800 mile difference seemed to far for our young love. To postpone the separation I decided to spend a little time in Oregon. We set off in his little Honda. On the way we passed this sign and my sweetie told me he had named the mountain after me and had the sign posted so all would know. Corny? Yes, but when you are young and in love who cares. Now every time we go back to visit his parents are children are told this silly story as we pass this sign.
Well our children got to hear this fun story yet again this past week as we went out to visit their grandparents. On the way there I finished this charity quilt, (free pattern here) three of the flowers from the last post and my book for book group.
Not a bad way to spend the long drive to grandmas. I'll be linking up to Amy's Sew and Tell make sure you head over and see all the other wonderful finishes. Also sorry about forgetting to do Mr. Linky Wednesday. I posted ahead because of our trip and must of forgot. So sorry. I'll be sure to do it next time.

  6. Of course Mt. Emily needs to only be at the summit and not at the bottom of the valley. Great story.
