PhD Challenge

I have joined Myra's PhD challenge (Project half done). I'm hoping it will be the motivation I need to finish a few things. Like my project improve. I made the blocks and pieced them together lickity split. I started losing steam with the vine and about the time I was halfway through putting on the yo yos it was all gone. But I hoping to get back on track. I'm also hoping that it's the push I need to get a border on this fun little thing and get it quilted so some little girl can enjoy it.
Next there is this scrappy number that just needs a border Shari has convinced me that I should add a pieced border. For a while that was a roadblock but I have come up with a solution and hope to be getting it done soon.
This was an experiment that although I'm not to pleased with DD loves. Just need to sandwich quilt and bind it so she can wrap her baby doll in it.
These scrappy blocks will be come a wonderful star quilt when I finally get around to putting the points on them.

And finally these fun blocks from Nanette's Christmas cottage exchange. I sure would be fun to have a new Christmas quilt next Christmas.

I you would like to join in Myra's PhD challenge click the button on my side bar and sign up. I promise to cheer you on. Let's make 2010 a great year for finishes!

  10. You know what? This is fun post! I may come back again because I'm completely enthralled with what I think is a hidden project (at least from my eyes) so I feel like I'm having a big huge treat! It's the "vines" - it's the "yo yo's" - I'm having a moment of delight and remembering why it is that I enjoy blogging. Kinda cool.

I would sign right up for you BFF swap, but I made a vow this year - no swaps until I finish up my on-going stuff! 21. Congrats on finishing a PhD! I'm getting close to finishing. The challenge gives me a little incentive to finish one thing before starting 3 more.
