My Thieving Days are Over

First off I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! May it hold joy for you and those you love.
Now on to my reformation. As mentioned in this post I steal covers. But I have given up my evil ways, or at least this one. I finished this quilt for my hubby for Christmas and he has been toasty ever since. It is big enough that even if I slip and steal a little there is still enough to cover him and keep him warm.
On Christmas Eve I started and finished this little doll quilt for the doll bed Santa brought to DD. I know that is totally insane. Usually I am done getting presents and ready just to enjoy the season by Thanksgiving. This year I procrastinated. Never again. To often I felt like 'Where am I going and why and am I in this hand basket.' Crazy, crazy, crazy. I have learned my lesson.
I'm glad I made it though. It goes with the chair I redid for her room. You can see it here. She was more than pleased.Posted by Picasa

Em, what a lovely quilt....But Em, Em don't ever give up on 'stealing' the covers. Hubby will feel safe and secure if you do that, keep him on his toes a bit. Ha Ha. Good on you. Kind regards, Anita.

Lovely little doll bed and quilt, and absolutely love your hubby's quilt!!! Out of curiosity, have you by chance shown how that block goes together?

Both are beautiful! I too am a cover thief, but I refuse to change my evil ways. *lol* I buy king size blankets and top sheets for the same reason. ;P

Love the full sized quilt, and if I was little (I so wish) I would have been delighted with a doll bed and beautiful magical miniature quilt!
My children are grown now and so I can relax a bit on the Christmas Eve madness (thank goodness), so i was wrapping two knitted projects on the needles with apologies and have enjoyed the seasonal break by finishing them!)

your hubby's quilt is great...and I love the doll quilt...the swap sounds like a great idea but I am involved in another year-long swap right now but maybe sometime in the future.
