Scrap Baskets and a Tote

Over the weekend I finished my scrap baskets. Can I just say this little quilt makes me smile. I love it's scrappy feel and the ric rac is way to fun.
I also made this little tote for my DD out of an old wool sweater I found for a dollar at a thrift shop. I made the flower out of another wool sweater. I've been collecting them. I hunt through the racks for any 100% wool I can find. Then I come home and felt it. I am getting quite a little collection. This is the first little project I have made. It was fun and very easy.

Your basket quilt is so cute and cheery! What a good feeling to be able to check off another quilt. I love the idea of thrifting for wool sweaters and felting them to make something wonderful. Very cute bag!

How adorable. The colours are so bright and cheery. Love your felted bag too, great idea. I have a felting machine and have made a few things but not felted wool yet. Need more time in the day LOL.

What a fun and happy quilt! Looks great in the sunshine.

The felted wool bag looks great too. Did you line it? Do you felt before or after you construct? Don't know much about felting...

Cheers - Shari

I love the basket quilt, and I think a lot of blogs are digging in the scrap boxes and coming up with the cutest quilts.
I just picked up some wool jackets and pieces at our goodwill to do the some wool projects. Your purse is really cute.
