Friends, Thanks, and Faith

Thank you for your overwhelming response. I wish you all luck in my giveaway. Your comments have been a ray of sunshine in my life. This blogging experience has been so fulfilling. I have loved getting to know so many of you. I have learned so much.

I spent the day yesterday making something for a dear friend who is going through a very hard time. I was feeling so helpless and wanted to do something. Ran it to her as soon as I got it done along with a hug and listening ear. We cried together. I hope it brings hope and peace in her turbulent life right now. It is so sad how the bad choices of others can hurt innocent people so deeply. May her and her family be watched over and blessed through this trying time.
Sorry I have no picture this time. It was a little pillow with one of my favorite sayings.
"FAITH is not believing HE can help but KNOWING HE will."
Love,
Em

  4. Thanks for that thought Emily. I needed that today. Faith is shaky some days. I guess it is good to lift up others, it makes us feel less selfish, too.

  5. These are most powerful words, Em. You are such a warm hearted, wise and giving spirit - there is nothing better I can think of to give during this time than the presence of a constant, reinforcing prayer in action.

    Wow.

  9. How nice to have a friend like you who will come and sit and listen and comfort. Sometimes that energy is all we need to get through a trying time.

  10. So good that you could do something for her Emily. I had a friend recently going through it so I invented a FAFF bag (Fitst Aid For Friend). I didn't have words for her so I sewed a red cross on one side and a shooting star on the other for her to make a wish by, and inside I put in pampering gifts and a quotation from Psalms I think it was. I figured when words failed me an act of kindness wouldn't. I did a pic at the time on my blog (2 ish weeks ago?)

I'm sure your friend was helped by your act of kindness. I think it's good that sometimes we can play at "Angel". It makes the world a nicer place. :-)
